Cigar case formerly owned by Winston S. Churchill
Made of chestnut colored crocodile skin the cigar case features a silver band on one of the adjoining edges with Winston S. Churchill boldly engraved on one side. British hallmarks are stamped into the backside of this silver band. The other adjoining edge has FINNIGANS NEWBONDST.W. stamped into the crocodile skin in gold. The print is crisp and clean.
Churchill gave this cigar case to his head gardener at Chartwell. Presumably, after his death, it was auctioned off by his family.
Approx. measurements: 6.5″ high (fully closed) x 3.75″ wide
A very nice piece of Churchill memorabilia for the collector.
