“To Honorable Winston S. Churchill whose greatness provided opportunities that others still fumble. with the sincere regard of John Foster Dulles
March 31, 1950.”
Dulles was the US Secretary of State under President Eisenhower.
An association like this needs no further comment.
Also laid in, an handwritten note to William Deakin (I believe) and initialed GH (Grace Hamblin) secretary to both Winston and Clementine Churchill from the early 1930’s until their deaths and subsequently the first administrator when Chartwell was opened to the public.
