Ten Chapters contains facsimile copies of Churchill’s 10 hand-written entries made in Montgomery’s autograph book plus additional entries and signatures. Entry dates range from Aug 20, 1942 – May 24, 1945.

Original black cloth embossed with title on front cover. Mark along bottom edge of back board, (see pic) With original dust jacket which has a triangular piece missing from the rear cover, (see pic).
A ‘chapter’ is often just one page of hand writing, (pages are small) but the last one, Chapter X, fills 3 pages.
Also included are entries by Field Marshal-Smuts, the Prime Ministers of Canada and New Zealand and General de Gaulle, together with historic information.
In Chapter 1 Montgomery explains how this book came about:
“I asked him [Churchill] to write his name in my autograph book. He wrote a personal note on one page… on subsequent occasions I asked him to write further pages…”
