Two Blackwood’s Magazines + A Soldiers Saga: Book and Magazine articles by Capt. Aylmer Haldane
Capt. Haldane fought in the second Boer War and was taken prisoner at the same time Churchill was imprisoned. Churchill’s escape made him famous – but Haldane did not succeed in breaking out at the same time. He later complained of Churchill’s lack of regard for those who should have escaped with him.
Three items listed here all pertain to Haldane’s escape from Pretoria:

These 2 issues of Blackwood’s magazine featured the initial publication of Haldane’s account of escaping from the Boer prison camp; 65 pages.
Both issues of this literary magazine are in original covers with ads; some wear as expected.
