Great Contemporaries is a collection of short biographical essays about famous people, written by Winston Churchill. The original collection was published in 1937 by Thornton Butterworth Ltd., and included 21 essays mainly written between 1928 and 1931.

MacMillan and Co. Ltd. republished this book in 1942, and included 4 additional biographies by Churchill.

The copy listed here is an Author’s Presentation Copy, a second printing by Macmillan in 1943. It contains 22 biographies by Winston Churchill as listed below.
