This is the annual deck issued by The Worshipful Company of Makers of Playing Cards for 1945, showing Winston Churchill receiving the Freedom of the City of London on June 30th, 1943.
These special decks are collectable in their own right. These were issued in blue or red as single decks as shown in Smith p. 90.
Here is a superb double deck set one in blue and the other in red, still unopened in the original box.
Cellophane torn across the top but still in place. Cards are untouched – never removed.
