Two of the nicest Centenary pieces. The Churchill Centenary Paragon Cigar Box and matching Plate, 1974 – Winston Churchill – Churchilliana
By R. Johnson for Paragon China. The china cigar box contains an inner cedar box with integral lid.
Elaborately trimmed in gilt and ormolu, the lid bears Churchill’s coat of arms in colour. On the sides are gilt drawings of Chartwell and Blenheim, speech quote and commemoration. In an handsome fitted brown case.
The cigar box is #20 of a limited edition of 500.
The matching plate is #727 of a limited edition of 1,000.
The Plate (Smith P 82, Carmichael 42) also has the colour coat of arms in the center. 10.5″ diameter in the original fitted box.
